Around 300 natural gas residents in the Bradyville and Readyville area were without heat Wednesday morning.

It happened after a gas line was hit when a Cannon County Sheriffs Deputy was involved in a wreck near West Side School.

At this time according to officials at Middle Tennessee Natural Gas the repairs are in the finishing stage at the central station that distributes the gas to the various residences.

The next step will be turning off the meters to each individual account.

Once that is done the final step to fixing the problem will be to re-light each individual pilot light.

It is estimated that the problem will be fixed around 2-3:00 this afternoon.
