Identity Theft in Murfreesboro with a link to Virginia Beach

Imagine being the victim of identity theft to the tune of $8,000 or more. One Murfreesboro man has fallen victim to such a theft and reports indicate the culprit may be in Virginia Beach, according to a police report.

The victim told officers in Murfreesboro that someone withdrew $8,000 from his SunTrust bank account. The withdrawal occurred at a SunTrust bank counter in Virginia Beach. To make matters worse, someone has been trying to open credit cards in the victims name in recent days. In fact, one new credit account was obtained at a Target store in the victims name.

At this point, an arrest has not been made. The case is labeled as an Identity Theft.
