Identity theft in Rutherford County

For the second time in as little as three days, another Murfreesboro resident has learned the disappointing way, that they have not received their income tax return.

This most recent case, similar to one that was reported on Monday, involves identity theft. The 31-year old victim completed her taxes and later found out this week that her return had already been filed and paid.

At this point, no suspects have been named.

In another story involving missing funds, a 63-year old told police in Murfreesboro that someone fraudulently charged $900 to his credit card. The charge was with a company that he was not familiar with called "Liquid Graphics."

So far, no arrests have been made.
