If you are a property owner in the city of Murfreesboro and you have not received a tax bill, you should contact the Rutherford County Property Assessor's Office.

Property Assessor Rob Mitchell says they experienced a power outage during the printing which resulted in duplicate billings to some taxpayers and no bill for others. He adds they regret they didn't discover the extent of the confusion the power outage caused sooner.

Mitchell says they now have processes and software in place to prevent this in the future.
