One suspect is in custody after a victim was killed about 7:30 p.m. Monday on Burks Hollow Road south of Murfreesboro. Rutherford County Sheriff Robert F. Arnold says the fleeing suspects were located by sheriff’s detectives and deputies and pursued to University Gables Apartments on Rutherford Boulevard. Murfreesboro Police Detective Reco Hathaway apprehended one suspect with help from Officer Aaron Price. Sheriff’s and Murfreesboro Police K-9s were searching for more suspects in the Rutherford Boulevard area. This marks the second homicide in Rutherford County since Friday. 17-year old Kevin Knotts was shot to death at the National Carwash Express on Rutherford Boulevard Friday night. Authorities are still looking for suspects in that murder as well.
