MTSU Signs Deal With Army to Study Unmanned Aircraft's

Middle Tennessee State University has landed a partnership with the U.S. Army that will promote the study of unmanned aircraft. As part of the deal, the Army will give MTSU three remote controlled aircraft called Ravens. 

A news release says MTSU is the first university to sign such an agreement with the Army’s unmanned aerial systems program office.

Army officials say they hope to eventually recruit MTSU students to work at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. 

Kyle Snyder directs MTSU’s drone program. He says the curriculum will also prepare graduates to work in civilian markets, including law enforcement and agricultural applications.
