There was a fatal accident on State Route 840 Thursday morning. Brandon Hostetler of Cedar Rock Drive in Nashville died in that single-vehicle crash. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Hostetler was not wearing a safety belt.

The accident occurred near the 50-mile marker around 6:00 o'clock Thursday morning (8/25/11). Mile marker 50 is in the Blackman community near the Veteran's Parkway exit. Brandon Hostetler appears to have lost control in a curve of his 2003 Ford F-150. The vehicle ran off the road, and the 27-year old driver over compensated in an effort to regain control. The pickup truck overturned and Hostetler was ejected. The trooper reports that Brandon Hostetler died at the crash scene.
