Changing the name of the Murfreesboro Fire Department to Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue was viewed by some as a positive move, but the cost involved may quickly make it a negative. The Murfreesboro Fire Department will have to change the logo’s on fire trucks, station letterhead and uniforms. They will even have to change the name on fire department buildings throughout the city. The question now is… how much will it cost? The fire department says the changes will be made gradually over time, but the cost will remain the same – it will just be spread out over a longer period of time. As far as what that cost is – is unknown at this time.
