Coming up this week on Wednesday, July 22nd, at 11 am, members of American Legion Post 46 in Cookeville, the Sons of the American Legion, and the Legion Riders will be presenting 12 Rocking chairs to the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro.

These special chairs will be embossed across the back with all of the Armed Service emblems, and will be escorted to the site by members of the American Legion Riders.

After the presentation of the chairs,  American Legion members will then travel to the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center to deliver 500 gift bags to veterans at the hospital and 1000 pounds of snacks, food, clothing and toiletries to the veterans on the Covid 19 Ward.

The American Legion, even in these troubled times, wants the public to know that they are still out there supporting veterans in local communities everyday.
