Popular Christian band Big Daddy Weave will lead Worship and perform a mini-concert in Murfreesboro this Saturday evening.

The upcoming event will be at World Outreach Church on the New Salem Highway at Barfield Crescent Road.

Big Daddy Weave formed when the band members met while attending the University of Mobile. They stepped into the spotlight in 2002 with the release of their second album “One and Only,” which debuted in SoundScan's Christian Top 5 and saw the group nominated as Dove Awards New Artist of the Year.

The groups song titled "Redeemed" is the most successful piece that Big Daddy Weave has ever performed, having spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Christian radio charts and certified gold by the RIAA.

Members of the group include: Mike Weaver, Jay Weaver, Jeremy Redmon, Joe Shirk and Brian Beihl.

The free event will be this Saturday, Oct. 31, at 6 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 9:30 a.m. at World Outreach Church (1921 State Hwy 99) in Murfreesboro.
