This time of year brings with it an increase of shoplifting. Murfreesboro Police Spokesperson Larry Flowers told WGNS that some thieves have been bold enough to fill a shopping cart and then leave the store with their newly acquired goods… without paying for the merchandise.  

Also concerning are crimes against individuals...



Be aware of your surroundings and make sure no one is waiting by or near your vehicle. It is also good to travel in pairs to go shopping, bringing either friends or family.
