Despite less drivers on the road in 2020 due to the COVID Pandemic, there have been twice as many fatal accidents...

That was Murfreesboro Police Public Information Officer Larry Flowers. Again, 2020 closed out the year with twice as many traffic fatalities as 2019.

Statewide, there were 1,148 fatal car accidents in 2019 and 1,230 last year in 2020.

So far this year, fatal accidents are down by 36%, as of Friday (1/8/2021).
