The Application Deadline has been Extended to March 5th - Soon-to-be high school seniors could benefit from a personal development, civic education and community engagement initiative in Rutherford County.  

The Youth Leadership Rutherford program focuses on real-world topics and explores issues of leadership within the context of that subject.

The program's goal is to open the minds of participants and enable them to become more visionary leaders – through local participation.

The Youth Leadership program began as a project of the 1993-94 Leadership Rutherford Education Study Group. It was approved as a sponsored program of Leadership Rutherford in June of 1994, and the first class began in the fall of 1995. This program is facilitated by Leadership Rutherford & Rutherford Works.

To be a part of Youth Leadership Rutherford, you first need to apply. Applications must be submitted by 4:30 PM on Friday, March 5, 2021 for the 2021-22 school year. The original deadline to turn in an application was Feb. 26, 2021, but again, it has been extended to March 5th.
