Troy Bond has left Oakland High School as the boys basketball coach for the same job at Brentwood.

He has been the Patriot's coach for the last six years and taking them to two state tournaments. Bond was previously at Wilson Central after taking them to the state tournament four years of his 14 there.

Ironically in Oakland's last state title appearance, they lost to the Bruins 50-47 back in 2019.

Coach Bond says, "I am super excited to be joining the Brentwood High School family. Definitely feel blessed with this opportunity to join should a storied program for excellence. I also want to say a big thank you to Oakland High School and all the friends, colleagues, administrators, staff, players & parents that have made my past six years so special. Definitely bittersweet. Will be pulling for the Patriots unless your playing the Bruins."
