Where Does Rutherford County Fall on the TOP 50 COVID-19 Vaccination List?

A June 27th report by Stacker.com has rated the Top 50 Counties in Tennessee with the highest COVID-19 Vaccination Rate and Rutherford County faired well on the list.

1st.) Coming in at number one for having the largest percentage of their population vaccinated was Loudon County. Of their 56-thousand residents, 45.6% are vaccinated against COVID-19.

2nd.) Number two on the list was nearby Williamson County. There, 45.3% of their population is vaccinated. Williamson County has a population count that rings in at about 251-thousand residents.

3rd.) Meigs County, with a population of just over 12-thousand residents, had a vaccination rate of 44.8%. That percentage placed the South Eastern county at number 3 on the list.

And 27th.) As we go further down the list to find Rutherford County, it looks as if 31.8% of the population is fully vaccinated. With a little over 339-thousand residents and a COVID vaccination rate of 31.8%, Rutherford County is ranked at number twenty-seven on the top 50-list.

Rutherford County’s rate is 8.4% lower than the states average.

If you look at the 65-plus age group, then the COVID vaccination rate in Rutherford County appears more attractive at 74.8%.
