Organization that Focuses on Helping those with Mental Illness or Addiction Open New / Larger Facility in Murfreesboro

Volunteer Behavioral Health in Murfreesboro recently expanded and moved into a brand new facility on Williams Drive near Medical Center Parkway. Previous to their move this past April, they were located on Thompson Lane, down from the Murfreesboro Greenway entrance.

The organization, which many refer to as The Guidance Center, serves individuals and families through prevention, treatment and recovery programs. Volunteer Behavioral Health President Phyllis Perssinger highlighted some of the services offered in Rutherford County...



They help those who are battling addiction and those who are learning how to live through the struggles of mental illness. Perssinger said they tackle problems that individuals face while working side-by-side with their many community partners...



Volunteer Behavioral Health provides prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery support services for Rutherford County and surrounding areas. The grand opening for their new two-story, 32,000 square foot building took place on the week of July 12th.
