UPDATE: The 2019 Murder of Terrell Ray in Murfreesboro

Murfreesboro Police continue to investigate the August 2, 2019 murder of Terrell Ray.

The 30-year-old man was shot and killed outside the Villager Condominiums on Middle Tennessee Blvd. in Murfreesboro.  Detectives told WGNS NEWS that Ray was shot multiple times in the back and it appears that the shooter or shooters fled the scene in Ray’s car.

Lt. Willams said the victim was not involved in any crime and it appears that he was randomly targeted on the night of the shooting…



Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has authorized a $10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the person or persons responsible for killing of Terrell Ray, according to a letter from the governor.

More on the Murder of Terrell Ray

Murfreesboro Police made a re-enactment video of the crime, which unfolded on the night of August 2, 2019. Terrell Ray, 30, was found dead at the Villager Condominiums on Middle Tennessee Blvd. in Murfreesboro.  Ray was shot in the back multiple times.  His 2016 Chevrolet Camaro was stolen and later recovered in Nashville.
