Paint the Town Purple for Alzheimer's Awareness and Upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer's

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research. This inspiring event will take place in Murfreesboro on Saturday, November 6th at Gateway Island (behind Murfreesboro Medical Clinic). One of the main sponsors locally is TrustPoint Hospital.

Rutherford County businesses can show their support in the fight to end Alzheimer's by decorating their offices or store fronts in purple September 19th through the 25th. Awards will be given to businesses for the best purple decor and for the most money raised.

More about the walk

At the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer's on November 6th, safety protocols including physical distancing, contactless registration and hand sanitizing stations will be implemented.

While there is no fee to register for Walk, all participants are encouraged to raise critical funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support and advance research toward methods of prevention, treatment and, ultimately, a cure.
