The project is being funded and constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The extension of the North Greenway trail should take about 6 to 12-months to complete. 

The existing equestrian trail will remain and the city plans to execute a few improvements to it, so that hikers can safely coincide with horses.
