MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Murfreesboro Detectives are attempting to identify a man wanted for questioning in a theft case.

Reports from the MPD indicate the victim was shopping at Hobby Lobby on Old Fort Pkwy. on Dec. 20, 2021 when the theft took place. The woman evidently turned her back to her cart to help another customer when someone stole her wallet.

Shortly after the theft, the female received an alert from her credit card company about a $5,000 purchase that was attempted at Best Buy. Thankfully, the purchase was declined and the credit card was canceled.

Authorities released surveillance footage of a man who was captured on video at Best Buy in Murfreesboro. Police believe the suspect in the video was attempting to use the stolen credit card.
