Rutherford County Woman dropped off at Nashville hospital with blunt force trauma and life threatening injuries

UPDATED (1/26/22) - WGNS has confirmed that the woman who was dropped off at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville with blunt force trauma injuries on Monday, was last known to live in Rutherford County.

Metro Nashville Detectives are investigating the cause of the injuries suffered by 36-year-old Jennifer Pogue, who was placed on life support shortly after she was dropped off. Police say that she is suffering from life threatening injuries.

Brooke Reese with the Metro Police Department told WGNS NEWS on Wednesday night (01/26/22), "At this time homicide detectives are pursuing leads to figure out the circumstances leading up to Ms. Pogue being dropped off at the hospital. As of this morning she is still on life support."

The Nashville’s Homicide Unit is leading this investigation.
