Murfreesboro Police Officer Charles Owens made a routine traffic stop for improper display of a license tag. The female driver appeared extremely nervous, and that mood increased with time.  She told Officer Owens that she had previous simple possession charges and a pending aggravated burglary charge.  He asked for consent to search her vehicle,  and found marijuana, cocaine, Xanax bars, a digital scale, and a .22 caliber pistol. The woman’s SUV and money was seized. The family at Demos’ Restaurant salute Murfreesboro Police Officer Charles Owens for taking an armed, and potentially dangerous, drug person off our streets.
