Employees and visitors to the Rutherford County Judicial Building were evacuated after a bomb threat was called in just before 9 o'clock Monday morning (3/31/2014).

The sheriff's office, along with the Tennessee Highway Patrol's Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit and other emergency personnel were on the scene. Even bomb-sniffing dogs were used to determine the building was safe. Court dockets were rescheduled and business as normal resumed. Around 10:45 the Rutherford County Judicial Building on the Murfreesboro square was re-opened.
