Today (Monday, 5/7/2018) marks the first day courts are in session at the new Rutherford County Judicial Center on West Lytle at North Maple Streets.

It took movers an entire week to move offices and courts into the massive 203,000 square foot, 6-story structure. Prior to the move, the files were packed and barcoded.

When you enter the massive lobby, the first thing that catches your attention is a 3-story tall mural of the courthouse cupola. As you get closer, you can see that the entire wall is made of small photos of leaders in this community, and when you stand back--you see the cupola instead of individuals.
