July 19th: Your Chance To Be An "Angel"

May 24, 2014 at 08:57 am by bryan

Many times you've heard how fortunate we are to live in the Heart of Tennessee. A few years ago Murfreesboro Police Officer Matt Harvey started a non-profit group called Angels for Protectors. In that short period of time, they have helped over 50 persons with $33,000.

Matt just let WGNS know about a 22-year old man fighting stage 3 testicular cancer. He will soon begin several rounds of chemo and other procedures, and as Officer Harvey put it, "The bills will be huge and the roll it will take on this family will be devastating!"

Saturday, July 19th (6-11PM)

Angels for Protectors is planning a benefit on Saturday night, July 19th, from 6:00 to 11:00PM at the 3 Brothers on the east side of the Murfreesboro square (114 N. Church St.). Your $20 ticket includes dinner and a night of fun for $20. One of the activities includes a dart to throw at balloons, and the person with the last balloon wins the big prize.

Officer Harvey notes karaoke will fill the night with music. In fact, for $5 you can challenge a friend to sing. However, they can say "nope" for a $10 donation.
