Keep Valuables OUT OF SIGHT!

Even though the holidays are behind us, keep valuables out of sight in your car.

A Readyville woman learned this the hard way. The 62-year old woman's purse that contained several credit cards, a debit card, checks, ID cards, along with cash, eye glasses, key and more was stolen while parked on East Main Street. She filed a report with Murfreesboro Police. (case # 17-27303)

And another vehicle break-in case. This time the victim's green Ford SUV was parked at Forrest Oaks Apartments. This time a black 9-milimeter Glock handgun (serial # BAXJ147) was taken. The weapon was valued at $500. (case # 17-27316)

On the same date, another handgun was stolen. This one from a home on St. Ives Drive. This was a semi-automatic black Glock, 9 millimeter handgun (serial # SWF369). The gun and a box of ammo are estimated to be worth $900. (case# 17-27327)

Remember, even extremely cold weather does not deter some criminals.
