(NASHVILLE) A request from Kelsey Ketron's attorney asking for dismissal of the case has been denied by the judge.

Judge Phillip Hilliard set the final hearing for January 13-14, 2020 in this civil matter. It has been underlined that these are not criminal charges, but a hearing on civil charges that were filed against her by the State Department of Insurance.

Ketron is accused of fraud as well as selling insurance without a license. She was running the family's insurance business while her father served in the state senate and now as Rutherford county mayor.
