The Business Education Partnership has announced the winner of the inaugural Emil and Lilly Hassan Teachers' Fund Award. Rebecca Jones has been awarded for her proposal "Going Molecular - 21st Century Biology", a project which will initially involve approximately 400 9th grade students at Rockvale High School. Jones will serve as chair of the Honors and Advanced Placement Biology Science Department at Rockvale High School when the school opens this fall.
Chamber of Commerce BEP Executive Director Amelia Bozeman announced, "Applications for The Emil and Lilly Hassan Teachers' Fund are now available for teachers who are working within the Murfreesboro City and Rutherford County School Systems."
Registration is now open for the BEP Summer Business Camp Presented by State Farm scheduled for weekdays of July 17th - 28th from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The camp will be hosted by Middle Tennessee State University's College of Education on campus in the McWherter Learning Resource Center.
As high school students and adults returning to school look for the right college program, and businesses seek to build the best workforce, the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry and partners have introduced a new interactive resource to help with both.
The Business Education Partnership Foundation will host the inaugural BEP Mini Masters Indoor Mini Golf Tournament from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 3rd at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce.
The three-day conference provided school counselors in the Murfreesboro City and Rutherford County public school systems with information on postsecondary education options, workplace trends, skill gaps, and careers.
