Charles Dwight Stout, III, 20, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, pleaded guilty Wednesday (5/9/18) in U.S. District Court to conspiracy to damage religious property and to causing damage to religious property because of its religious character, announced U.S. Attorney Don Cochran for the Middle District of Tennessee.
A federal grand jury in Nashville returned an indictment charging two Murfreesboro men, Charles Dwight Stout, III, 19, and Thomas Avery Gibbs, 18, with conspiring to commit a civil rights violation and committing a civil rights violation through damaging and defacing the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro.
19-year old Charles Dwight Stout, III of Murfreesboro was indicted Wednesday (8/30/2017) by a federal grand jury and charged with obstruction of justice. The charge relates to the ongoing investigation into the vandalism of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro on July 10, 2017.
