Alabama attorney and founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative Bryan Stevenson left thousands of new and returning MTSU students and others with a message of hope and mercy when he spoke Saturday (Aug. 25) at the 17th Middle Tennessee State University Convocation in Murphy Center.
MTSU's 15th University Convocation speaker made references to the bestselling book he co-authored and was read by more than 3,000 new freshmen and transfer students this year.
All Motlow College locations - including the Smyrna center - will be closed part of the day Aug. 17 to permit faculty and staff to attend fall convocation. The Smyrna Center will open at 2 p.m.
