There were "drug take backs" all over Tennessee on Saturday, and the DEA event that was at the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office, 940 New Salem Highway, took-in 220 pounds of unused, expired and unwanted prescriptions.
Dispose of your unused prescription medications safely by dropping the drugs off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Sheriff's Office in Murfreesboro or TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna.
There will be a "Drug Take Back" event starting at 8:00 o'clock this Saturday morning and continuing until noon in the rear of the Murfreesboro Police Annex Building.
Sgt. Kyle Evans confirmed that drugs like crack, marijuana, synthetics will also be accepted with no questions asked. No information will be recorded from those who drop off illegal drugs or prescription drugs.

On Saturday, April 26, 2014 the Murfreesboro Police Department had what they called a very successful combined “Drug Take Back” and “Gun Buy Back” special event.
