Tuesday, October 16, 2018 will mark year three that a local murder has gone unsolved.
An emotional plea for answers in the murder of Gregg Hawkins. It's been almost a year since he was fatally shot at the Mona Boat Ramp just outside Smyrna.
The billboard shows a photograph of Hawkins and daughter, Brandi. A reward of $50,000 is offered leading to the arrest and conviction of the murderer.

The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the murder of Gregg Hawkins.
Detective Norrod has verified the person of interest is no longer a suspect, as the person was in a mid-state county jail the day of the murder.
A man was shot at during a fishing tournament to benefit the reward fund for fellow outdoorsman Gregg Hawkins, who was killed at the Mona Boat Ramp last month.
Hawkins was shot and killed after going fishing with his 19-year old daughter. Hawkins was at his truck and about to back it down the boat ramp to load the boat that his daughter was sitting in when he was shot.
"We're at peace with where he is but we're not at peace with how he got there," Brandi Hawkins said. "We don't want this to happen to anyone else. Whoever is responsible is still out there."
Two grieving daughters and their mother grasped each other's hands as they remembered Gregg Hawkins, as a loving father and husband who always wanted to spend time with them.
