Tennessee lawmakers have passed a bill to require public schools to prominently display the national motto, "In God We Trust."
The bill reads as follows; "As introduced, enacts the 'National Motto in the Classroom Act,' which requires each local education agency to display the national motto, 'In God We Trust,' in a prominent location in each school." - HB2368

A bill sponsored by Rep. Bill Sanderson of Kenton would require the state Revenue Department to redesign license plates to include the language starting on July 1, 2017.
