Earlier this week Ferrell was in court where he learned that the case will be heard by the next term of the Coffee County Grand Jury. He is facing aggravated robbery charges here in Coffee County.
In an interview on partner station WMSR, Ferrell stated that he robbed the bank because he was “down on his luck and depressed.” He said that he owed rent, electric bill, water bill, car payment and some other bills including loans and two bad checks.
According to investigators, the senior citizen entered the bank wearing a mask, gloves and a cap and was armed with a firearm.
