Gas prices are on the rise once again, after declining for nearly two weeks. Tennessee gas prices declined early last week, then rose a total of 4 cents statewide and up 13-cents locally.
Tennessee gas prices steadily declined during the past couple of weeks, but that downward trend is likely coming to an end. Here in Muurfreesboro some discounters started the week with regular gas selling for $2.14 per gallon.
The gasoline market opened with a bang on Sunday night. With Hurricane Harvey cutting our Texas fuel supply, discounters in the 'Boro jumped a dime to $2.09 per gallon.
Gas prices have declined 14 of the last 16 days. Here in Murfreesboro, prices at some discounters fell 7-cents, opening Monday (3/20/2017) with regular gas at $1.86.
Pump prices in Georgia and Tennessee continue their descent, while Florida prices dipped on Sunday for the first time in two weeks. Some Murfreesboro discounters started the week with regular gas going for $1.96.
