Members of the Stones River Amateur Radio Club will be participating in the national Amateur Radio Field Day exercise next Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23, 2019, at Sharp Springs Park in Smyrna. For those interested in learning about ham radio, this event is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.
The high winds and rain that blew across Rutherford County Friday afternoon left a rash of crumpled finders in the wake. There were numerous vehicle crashes in all parts of the area.
The ARRL amateur radio Field Day will take place this Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine, at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Smyrna. The public is encouraged to drop by and see how ham radio is not only a great hobby, but serves as a worldwide emergency link when needed.
