Job opportunities for inmates arrived in the form of a Hyundai forklift Friday at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
Family and friends will be allowed to visit inmates between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Rutherford County Adult Detention Center at 940 New Salem Highway.
This Saturday: The special service will focus on the fact that Christianity makes a difference in the lives of inmates, law enforcement personnel, families of police officers and the lives of volunteers.
"It seems to be doing as well if not better than last year," Deputy Fuqua said. "Every bit of it is going to the kitchen."
The population at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, which is called 940 by some, is seeing a large increase in inmates... almost 120 NEW inmates per month.
A prayer breakfast will be held in August that is unlike other prayer breakfast events you have attended in the past.
