Chris Biggs is going home to La Vergne. He's been tapped baseball coach, replacing Kyle Douglas, who coached just a few games in his first season before the COVID-19 pandemic shortened the season.

Biggs was a player for Craig Reavis at La Vergne, when the Wolverines won their only state title in 2001. He has spent the last 10-years as an assistant coach at Riverdale High School under Barry Messer.

The Riverdale skipper said of his former assistant on Twitter "congrats to a good man and a good coach! Was fortunate to have him with me for 10 years."

It's a rebuild job at La Vergne, who has gone 5-41 in their last two full baseball seasons.
