La Vergne Police Chase Ends With Nashville Crash

A Friday (7/26/2019) afternoon pursuit that began when a La Vergne police officer attempted to pull over a driver on Waldron Road near I-24, ended with a crash in Davidson County.

City of La Vergne spokesperson Anne Smith told NewsRadio WGNS that the chase began around 1:30 Friday afternoon. However, the driver did not stop and sped onto the interstate driving toward Nashville.


The fleeing car exited I-24, onto Old Hickory Boulevard and ended when it slammed into another car near Cane Ridge High School.

Only the two persons in the fleeing vehicle were injured. They were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The person in the car that the suspect hit was not injured.
