LaVergne sees new tenant in old Whirlpool building with 350 new jobs

The old Whirlpool plant in LaVergne now has a new resident after shutting down almost 10 years ago.

Sinomax, which has been working with LaVergne officials on plant preparations since about 2015, has opened and the company now expects to create 350 jobs.

State Representative Mike Sparks stated...

Sinomax, which is based in China, manufactures bedding mattresses and foam pillows. The company spent $28 million renovating the old Whirlpool plant.
