DUI number three is the charge that was filed against a 56-year old LaVergne woman on Tuesday morning. The arrest took place at 9:30 in the morning in Murfreesboro.

Police say the female was driving a silver Acura with Kentucky tags when she was stopped on Old Fort Parkway for a registration violation. When the arresting officer spoke to Barbara H. Mullin, she allegedly had slurred speech and an odor of intoxicant. The woman was asked to take a field sobriety test which she refused and instead asked the officer to take her to jail.

Mullin had two prior DUI charges in Davidson County and in Rutherford County, both in 2009. As a result of her prior run in with the law, this most recent arrest equaled DUI number 3. The female was also charged with resisting arrest for refusing to place her hands behind her back.

Mullin will be in court on July 22, 2015 at 8AM.
