Lewis Brothers Bakery employee seriously injured in accident

There was a serious accident involving a worker at Lewis Brothers Bakery near Skate Center West on Monday. A line technician got his head stuck under a rolling conveyor line. The victim, 41-year old Bryan Smith, was found by another worker at 10:15, Monday night. Smith was unconscious when he was discovered.


A police report shows that several employees worked to free Smith prior to the arrival of an ambulance. By the time police arrived, Smith was alert and talking. He was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center for the treatment of head injuries.
