You don't typically hear about ambulances making traffic stops, but in this case... you kind of do.

An ambulance driving on North West Broad Street near Thompson Lane activated their emergency equipment and lights to caution a motorist that he was in the oncoming lane of traffic. The incident occurred at 4 in the morning on Sunday in Murfreesboro. The police report shows that Brandon Wayne Dies from Waynesboro, Tennessee actually stopped for the ambulance.

When police arrived officers say that the 27-year old man stepped out of his truck and was unsteady on his feet. One field sobriety test later and Dies was arrested and charged with his third DUI. He was also charged with reckless endangerment, which in this case is a felony.

Dies was booked under a $10,500 bond and booked into the local jail. He will have to stick around Murfreesboro a little longer as his court date has been set for February 2, 2016.
