Middle Tennessee Medical Center is prepared for premature babies. Janet McIntosh, Director of Nursing for the Maternal Child Division says the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is prepared for the unexpected.

The NICU (pronounced as Nick-You) unit at MTMC is a level three “a” unit which means it is certified for infants born at 28-weeks or later and weighting a little as two pounds.
