Local Salvation Army Officers Promoted to Majors

Majors Joe and Melissa Irvin stand behind Beyond the Bells Chair Betsy Maples Taylor at the recent luncheon.

Joe and Melissa Irvin have been in Murfreesboro for a year, serving as leaders for the local Salvation Army. As of June 9th, they've been promoted to the rank of major.

The Irvin's are the officers in charge of the Salvation Army of Rutherford and Cannon Counties, it's programs, facilities and church. They've had previous assignments in their first 14-years, including Bristol and Memphis.
