Local store employees admits to theft - Totals over $2,000

A 33 year old Kroger employee has been arrested after admitting to stealing over $2,000 in gift cards. The arrest came after a loss prevention worker told Murfreesboro Police that she has video footage from inside the store of the culprit stealing the cards. The theft was reported at the Kroger Store on South Church Street across from the Indian Hills Subdivision.

Evidently, the man was removing the gift cards from the store shelves and then scanning the cards to activate them.

The subject was charged with felony theft over $1,000. He will appear in court on February 22, 2018.
