Locally Owned Murfreesboro has partnered with member businesses, The Murfreesboro Pulse and Mayday Brewery, to present its first member social.

Set for 5-7 p.m. Thursday night, the event will give members a chance to get to know each other and network with other local business owners in a casual setting.

LOM members are invited to attend The Connection, a meeting for local business professionals, which is sponsored by The Murfreesboro Pulse.

"All Middle Tennessee entrepreneurs and professionals are welcome to attend this casual event, where they can meet other small-business owners and tap into one another's experience and energy," said Bracken Mayo, owner and publisher of The Pulse.

"The gathering gives local entrepreneurs an opportunity to discuss some of the business challenges and solutions they are experiencing," Mayo said.

Meeting is held the third Thursday of each month.

The social is free for members. Nonmembers are invited to attend for a $10 cover charge at the door. Interested business owners will be welcome to join the evening of the meeting.

Mayday Brewery is located at 521 Old Salem Rd. in Murfreesboro.
