Looking back - - In '03, police seized 114 frozen cats, dogs and an assortment of wild game meat from freezer's in the home of Davis located in the Southern portion of Murfreesboro near S. Church St. Multiple cats had to be euthanized in 2003 as well. Carpeting on the Davis home had up to a half inch of animal feces grounded into it during the seizure that took place a little over 10-years ago.

Davis later sued the City of Murfreesboro after the police department removed the animal carcasses. Davis suggested that he had suffered emotional pain from the loss. The suit also suggested that he was holding one of the cats to be submitted to the Guinness Book of World Records do to its exceptionally large size at birth. The lawsuit was later dismissed in 2013.
