An East State Street man has been accused of pulling a gun on two women in a Murfreesboro parking lot. The incident occurred on Wednesday in the parking lot of Chedders Restaurant.

The victim told police she was attempting to park when a gray Nissan Altima backed out of another parking spot almost striking her car. The 22 year old woman honked her horn at the car that almost struck her and the motorist got out of the car armed with a handgun.

Reports indicate the man in the Nissan asked the female driver what she was honking at while aiming the gun at her. He allegedly pulled the slide back on the weapon to load it as he walked closer to her. Seconds later he got back in his car and drove away.

The female victim and her passenger told police they feared for their life when the man pulled the gun out on them. While he never fired the weapon, his actions if found guilty in a court of law, are considered to be an act of aggravated assault.

A witness obtained the license plate number on the Nissan Altmia and it returned to an address in the 500 block of East State Street in Murfreesboro. Police went to the home, but no one was there.

A Detective is now over the case.
