A man who appeared to be either drunk or high allegedly broke into the East Main Street Church of Christ on Sunday morning several hours before service. The subject climbed into the church after breaking open a rear window. The man also tried to break into the neighboring First Baptist Church, but was unsuccessful. Blood was found around the door of First Baptist from where the man injured himself. The subject then left the church and police found him staggering down East Main Street with a brick in his hand.

Upon searching the culprit, officers found he was in possession of a morphine pill and several anti-depressants. He also had cuts on his face and hands. He was charged with public intoxication and burglary.
